USING THE FLATBED SCANNER

Turn on the Epson Flatbed Scanner, attached to Machine 2.
DOUBLE-CLICK on the Scantastic icon on the Mac Desktop. This will evoke the scanning software, which automatically comes up with Adobe Photoshop 3.0.
Position your work of art on the scanner surface. Use the guidelines to get it straight!
Click the PRESCAN button in the ScanTastic Control Box. . A preview of your image appears on the screen.
You can now make adjustments in preparation for the final image. Such as:
- Set resolution to desired number
- Decide between black and white or color scanning
- On the prescanned image, drag the mouse to crop the desired scan area. The adjusted measurements will appear in the Control box.
Click on SCAN. The finished image will appear through the Photoshop software.
SAVE the image into your personal web folder. The most flexible choice would be to save the scan as a PHOTOSHOP (.PSD) file. This allows you the possibility of further manipulations in Photoshop.
That might be all that's necessary. Consult the software manual for more details about adjusting contrast, colors, and troubleshooting.
