WHY MUST YOU CHANGE ADVISORS?
Professor Carr has been granted a sabbatical leave for 2008-2009 and will not be on campus. For this reason, you MUST be assigned to another advisor. If there are professors with whom you are in regular contact, or who teach in a department that you are considering as a major or minor, please ask one of them to be your advisor. This can be for your sophomore year only. You do not need to declare a major at this time. If you do not choose a new advisor on your own, I will transfer you to another faculty member.
PLEASE NOTE:
You do NOT need to declare a major or minor until after you have completed 60 credit hours. If you are ready to declare a major and minor at this time, you may do so. Up through your sophomore year, ANY professor may serve as your advisor. WHEN YOU DECLARE A MAJOR, you must have an advisor from your major department.
