What majors and minors are you interested in? Here's a chance to explore a few options. Develop two schedules covering the next three years, each with a different major and probably, a different minor. (Remember that your major and minor must be in different divisions of the College.) In a brief essay of at least three-four paragraphs, discuss the differences between the two schedules you have developed. (These essays may be longer, if you desire.) In your essay, discuss the implications of the two majors you have explored. Consider the following questions:
Was it really difficult for you to choose a major and a minor? Feel free to make up a third schedule. Or make an extra appointment with me to discuss your concerns. Due: This paper is due at the pre-registration advising meeting, to be scheduled on or before April 18th. This paper MUST be completed in order to get permission to register.
What you need to know for this assignment:What majors does the College offer? Check the Catalogue to remind yourself. If you don't see anything that fits your special goals, consider a Student Designed Major or Minor. (See Assignment Three, Part Two). What are the requirements of the majors and minors? Again, the online catalogue will help you determine the requirements. Another alternative: talk to a professor who teaches in that area. Faculty will be delighted to speak with you about your future plans. Online Resources
