Angers, France: Past and Present

Explore the rich history of the Medieval and Renaissance period in France in the beautiful Loire Valley city of Angers. The course focuses on significant works and monuments of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, as well as on the language and culture of contemporary France. Students are housed in private homes.

PREREQUISITES NOW WAIVED!
It is possible to enroll in this course without having had any previous experience in art history or with the French language.
NEW DEADLINE: February 28th

Earlier Prerequisites:

  • Experience in these areas is recommended, but not necessary.
  • French 120 or equivalent
  • Art History 110, Art History 111, or permission of the instructor.

Academic Credit:

  • 4 sem. credit hr of Liberal Studies OR
  • 2 credits Art History and 2 credits in French
