Important
resources

|
|
http://www.english.upenn.edu/~mgamer/Romantic/index.html
This is a general informational site that lists all pertinent
scholarly
web-pages and sites about Romanticism. Of special interest is
the Romantic
Circle site and the British women poets project. I cannot vouch
for every
single site, but this is an amazing general resource that can
lead you to
other more specific research areas and information.

www.thenation.com
This is a news site that has an alternative perspective to CNN
and other
more traditional media resources. It's great for current events
and their
archives are useful.

|
|
www.salon.com
This is another great general news site; it's fun and has lots
of op-ed
pieces as well as movie and book reviews, etc.

http://www.dianahacker.com/resdoc/humanities/english.html
This is an on-line page that has sections about MLA documentation,
including a sample paper. It also has other documentation styles
illustrated and explained. It's a good place to start. |

| Fun
Stuff |
 |
www.epicurious.com
This is a fun recipe and cooking site. You can search by food category,
for example beets, or by a type of dish, for example fruit salads
or
pastas. It's usually very easy to find simple, good recipes. |
 |
www.theonion.com
This is a parody news site. It's not for everyone because it's usually
fairly irreverent, but it is often hilarious and funny. |
 |
www.xena.com
If you love the warrior princess, this is the site for you. For
the most
part, this is a silly, fan site but it has solid information about
the
show, the cast, and most importantly, everyone's favorite hero,
Xena.
